Supervision

I have been a supervisor for many years.

I have supervised practitioners for continuing professional development, registration, endorsement, family therapy training, and social work.

Supervision with me can encompass case presentation, developing the supervisee’s ability to work effectively with a range of client presentations, viewing videos of their work together, reviewing everything from clinical assessment to case formulation and treatment planning.

I am a counselling and clinical psychologist. This means that I am interested in the therapeutic process, complex presentations, a range of therapeutic modalities, and client outcomes.

In terms of my own work, I have a special interest in treatment effectiveness and feedback-informed treatment. My client work has traditionally been with individual adults but I have treated couples and families. I have a range of client presentations that I am interested in including personality disorder, trauma, chronic pain, and treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

I have substantial training in CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Family and relationship counselling (Gottman) and an ongoing interest in psychodynamic ideas as they can be applied to short-medium term work with clients.

I offer supervision face-to-face and also via phone, Skype or Zoom.
